The 13th child in his family, Prudhomme became the godfather of Louisiana cuisine by working hard, traveling the globe, and touting the joys of cooking. From learning to cook at his mother's side to becoming a household name via his top-selling line of seasonings, Prudhomme remains modest about his achievements. His famous New Orleans restaurant doesn't even have a freezer!
